    Returns & Refunds Policy

    We aim to make the returns process as straightforward and transparent as possible. This policy outlines your statutory rights and how returns are handled at The Modern Bar Ltd.


    Returns Summary

    • 14-day statutory returns apply to all consumer orders
    • Return shipping costs apply unless goods are faulty

    This policy applies to consumers. Separate terms apply to business-to-business (B2B) purchases (see Section 9).

     

    1. Your Statutory Right to Cancel (Consumers – UK)

    Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.

    To exercise your right to cancel:

    • You must notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery
    • You then have a further 14 days to return the goods
    • Unless the item is faulty, you are responsible for return shipping costs

    Refunds will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods (or evidence they have been returned), using the original payment method.


    2. Freight & Collection Costs

    All products sold by The Modern Bar Ltd are delivered via courier or palletised freight services.

    Unless goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied:

    • Return freight costs are payable by the customer
    • Collection can be arranged by us at cost
    • Collection charges vary depending on product size, weight and postcode
    • Return freight costs will always be confirmed before collection is booked

    If a scheduled collection is missed or refused, additional charges may apply.


    3. Damaged or Faulty Goods

    If your goods arrive damaged or incomplete:

    • You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery
    • Photographic evidence of the item and packaging is required
    • Do not dispose of packaging until instructed

    Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to goods that are:

    • As described
    • Of satisfactory quality
    • Fit for purpose

    If a product is confirmed faulty, we will:

    • Repair, replace or refund as appropriate
    • Cover any reasonable collection costs

    We may request inspection before issuing a final resolution.


    4. Inspection & Refund Processing

    Returned goods are inspected upon receipt.

    Refunds are processed:

    • Within 14 days of inspection
    • Using the original payment method

    Deductions may be made where:

    • Packaging is damaged or missing
    • Parts are missing
    • The item shows signs of installation or use
    • The condition reduces resale value


    5. Failed Deliveries

    Customers must ensure:

    • Adequate access for delivery vehicles
    • Someone is available to accept delivery
    • Delivery conditions are safe

    If delivery fails due to customer circumstances, redelivery or storage charges may apply.


    • 6. Business-to-Business (B2B) Sales

    Where goods are purchased for commercial or business use:

    • Statutory consumer cancellation rights do not apply
    • Returns are accepted at our discretion only
    • Restocking charges and return freight will apply

    Written agreement is required prior to return.
